5.0 out of 5 stars Priestley revealed 17 April 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a very readable biography detailing every aspect of Priestley's life and literary output. It was interesting to find how much influenced he was by his experiences during the first world war, but I didn't think it was made sufficiently clear whether it was they that caused his interest in time and ultimately in death. All this introspection is a little surprising in a man who had such a lust for the 'simple' life as evidenced both in his books and in his personal attitudes towards politics and a manner of living and loving. A very interesting man who I feel isn't altogether recognized as he should be for his influence on the English literary landscape.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight 2 Jan 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
A bit lightweight to be honest: no issue was really subjected to in depth analysis nor indeed any dialectic process
