About the Author
Domini Kemp was born in the Bahamas, but moved to Ireland in 1983. She trained as a chef at Leith s in London before co-writing New Irish Cooking and working in the Michelin-starred Peacock Alley. In 1999, she opened the hugely popular itsabagel with her sister, Peaches. The sisters have expanded into other areas, including outdoor catering, restaurants (and a café (itsa @ IMMA) as well as growing their wholesale and retail divisions. Domini regularly contributes to TV, magazines, and Year newspapers as a chef/food writer and has been hailed by The Sunday Times (UK) as 'easily the best food writer in Ireland' for her restaurant reviews.

Very fond of Domini Kemp's style of writing. It's like having her on your shoulder in the kitchen. The lamb and chickpea soupy stew is outstanding, and worth purchasing the book for this recipe alone.
I must say her broadbean hummus is unreasonably tasty too.
It would be a great shame if this book did not find your kitchen.

A good frien once told me that if one could learn 2 new recipes from a book it was worth buying!
That has been my excuse for indulging in new cookery books.
Domini Kemp truly surprised me. I have added some new and successful dishes to my repertoire...much more than just two!Family and friends have been delighted. So far, the Carrot cake, Rhubarb and Cinnamon squares (special yum!) and the Flourless Chocolate cake were a huge success. I can recommend the Vegetable Lentil soup, the Roast Shoulder of Lamb and the Chickpea, Sweet potato and Chicken stew. I am currently planning to make the Chocolate Cheesecake brownies.
All I need is more time, and more people to feed! Domini's recipes are as god as the food she serves in her restaurant and they work.
My sister and her girls were so enthusiastic about these dishes that I sent her the book too!
