I can't say enough about this book. I really feel it is a great tool to introduce the topics of the the differences between girls and boys bodies, reproduction, good touch vs bad touches etc.

It is a great resource if you want to (or already do) talk openly about sexuality with your children and don't quite know where to start.

I would recommend that you read through the book prior to reading it with your child though - just to make sure that you are aware of what the book is going to cover and that you are comfortable with it. We got this book when my son was 4 (because we were expecting a baby and he was asking lots and lots of questions like "how will she come out?" and "how did she get in there?").

I would say that there were maybe a couple pages I skipped with him that age because I thought it was maybe just a bit much for him to process all at once. Now that he is almost six though we read through the whole book.

The illustrations, cartoons and text are all cheerful, accurate, informative and amusing. Great addition to a home library.

My 7 year old had been asking me lots of questions following the birth of my friends baby. He wanted to know how you could choose to have a baby and how the baby got there etc. I had been fobbing him off with all sorts of daft responses and distracting him from his questioning since he first started asking these sorts of questions when he was 4 years old. . He persisted, not at all satisfied with my inconsistent and vague responses. I decided it was time to teach him everything. I searched the internet and discovered this book. When it arrived, I sat down with my son and his two younger sisters (3&4 yrs) and read him the entire book from cover to cover. He was transfixed. The book explained every question he had in a very matter of fact, easy to understand way. It dispelled all the odd ideas he had invented to fill the gaps that I failed to fill for him. I had worried about maybe ruining his innoncence. But after reading it I feel I have just educated my son and I wish I had found it sooner. His sisters paid very little attention to it as I was reading - but as soon as they start asking questions,I will read the book to them. My friend has borrowed the book to read to her 5 and 6 year old as she is expecting a baby. She is equally as impressed as I am.

I snuck this on kids when they were really tired one evening. So well done. Covers everything with loads of facts, cartoons etc. I love the way the picture of naked boy and girl spells out we are exactly the same, arms, legs, bums, except for the obvious and girls can do everything boys can do and vice versa. All encompassing with section on different families, adopted, only Mum, Etc. Really inspires conversations. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best books I have yet found to explain all those 'how' and 'why' questions about bodies and families. Clear and attractive illustrations (not too detailed, no funny little people to distract you), simple factual explanations - I loved the explanation of 'sex' and how it is neither attractive to or right for children. suggest 5+

Excellent book . Would recommend for educating children 6+ . A good basic book to start with.bought when my children started asking where babies come from and how they are made. Lays the facts in a clear concise and fun way to appeal to a child's understanding and perspective.

Really good book. Great illustrations with sensible explanations. My son liked the cartoon characters which appear throughout. I liked the explanations which stuck to the facts in simple terms. Perfect for a 6 year old

My son has a lot of questions that I wasn't sure how to answer. This booked helped teach me how to handle those questions and it's a book we can go through together. He loves it.
