Biography

Surfing The Void
It's been three years since Klaxons burst onto the music scene, injecting a dazzling and much needed moment of rave hedonism into the midst of indie tedium with the truly original and enormously influential Mercury award-winning album Myths Of The Near Future.

Now they are back with the eagerly awaited follow up. Produced in LA by US rock legend Ross Robinson (Sepultura, Slipknot,… Read more in Amazon's Klaxons Store

Track 1 is the Klaxons' take on the classic 'Not Over Yet', a classic dance anthem by Grace/Planet Perfecto (Paul Oakenfold and friends in fact). It couldn't really be that different from the original. Instead of a trance track, we have a much more indie sounding version (new rave in fact, sort of a indie/dance clash) with guitars more emminent, a male vocal rather than a female one and a siren.

Track 2 is a cover of Justin Timberlake's 'My Love' taken from their BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session. This is surprisingly good, and interesting to hear the song done with an acoustic guitar, piano and drums.

If you've not heard the Klaxons before, this is a good track to start with. If you like this, try 'Golden Skans' or for something more different, 'Atlantis to Interzone', both from the album 'Myths of the Near Future'.
