5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 6 Feb 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This a remix of the original Bathwater song by No Doubt (never released in the UK). Whilst the original song is definitely better, this remix is still very good. The tune is very catchy with excellent vocals. If you like this version then it is definitely worth getting their new singles album to hear the original version. All in all a great song!

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT 24 Feb 2004
Format:Audio CD
With the singles collection doing well (not just due to the boom box i might add) its a great idea to release such a great song and give it a chance on the UK market. I admit i love the original, but i belive that this remix is more appealing to a wider 'non-initiated' no doubt listener. I highly recomend getting the single even if you have the singles collection as its a totally new spin on the song, and the video is also great to watch! Classic Return of saturn no doubt, with a 2004 twist!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! 2 Feb 2004

I never believed that they could remake bathwater in a whole new remix. It's an amazing remix! I got a DJ single of it yesterday because I am in contact with No Doubt. This has to be the best remix out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad effort.... 22 Mar 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This isn't a bad effort from No Doubt. I wasn't a great fan of the original Bathwater track, but the remix seems to have given it a new lease of life!
However, it is nowhere near as good as It's My Life - this may be a cover version, but I think it's one of the best songs they've ever done. They've managed to keep the sombre mood of the Talk Talk original, while updating the track with some great effects and some catchy guitar riffs. Why it never got any higher in the charts, I am not sure!!

2.0 out of 5 stars A pointless release 3 Feb 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Since Return of Saturn flopped so badly in the UK, and "Simple Kind of Life" entered the charts at #69, this single "Bathwater", was never released in 2000.
Why No Doubt are releasing it now (remixed) is beyond me. It was not a hit in the USA, or any of the other few places it WAS released.
Maybe they are relieved their seemingly doomed Singles collection actually entered the top 10, after debuting at #46, (the temporary sales increase is due only to the shipments of Boombox anyway), so they are attempting, (yet again), to re-capture a UK fanbase.
Whatever the reasons may be, pass this one up. "Bathwater" is a mediocre song and the remix of "It's My Life" isn't anything special.
