By R. A. Caton TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
I bought this on vinyl years ago and it was hard to find. Issued in 1965, it contains two television Hancocks adapted for sound. What can one say? In "the Reunion Party" the effects of time on Tony's erstwhile Army buddies take the shine off what he hopes will be a merry meeting of old friends. In "The Missing Page" we find Tony in the library searching for the Classics "Ah yes, "Lady Don't Fall Backwards" by D'Arcy Sato!" His joy at reading another Johnny Oxford mystery is spoilt by the last page of the book being torn out "It could be none other than MEN ARE YOU SKINNY? DO YOU HAVE....".
We travel with Sid and Tony in their hunt for the solution to the mystery, even as they try and unravel the clues within the book....

It's classic Hancock; superb for listening to and an excellent addition to the old Pye Golden Guiney/Marble Arch releases.

Men; are you skinny? 11 Dec 2007

This is classic Hancock and a beautifully packaged CD containing over a dozen photographs of Hancock; as well as detailed notes, and nostalgically presented cover design concept. The Missing Page and The Reunion Party are two of the funniest Galton and Simpson scripts and even though Hancock had split with the two of them (with disastrous consequences for himself) by 1965, when the disc was recorded, Hancock still delivers fine performances (specially adapted from the scripts for TV).

A must for all Hancock fans.
