I actually got this album quite a while ago and have to say its the best he's done so far. With tunes like stop being greedy, hows it going down and one of my favourites, ruff ryders anthem how could it not be. If you like dmx and you dont have this album, then you dont like dmx.

I own all of the DMX albums and this is the one that stands out most in my collection.The style is unique to Earl Simmons as no one else is near to matching his intensity and skill. After listening through this once you'll definatley be listening to Damien, ATF and Stop Being Greedy as those three are the tracks that DMX really expoldes on and his anger shines through on every rap.
His other albums are excellent but for me this is the one that defines DMX.He is the only rapper to use such powerful beats, and this album has a real rocking base to what he adds the strongest vocals in the game.Buy this.Then buy his others.

DMX broke on to the rap scene in 1998 with a graveyard style of rapping unheard of in the hip-hop world, his debut single being "Get At Me Dog." DMX opened up the doorway for rappers such as Ja Rule to follow suite (but not on the same level), not a rapper alive can match DMX's thought inducing lyrics. From start to finish, this album plays with your mind, and with every listen each track brings a new perspective to what is being said. To sum up DMX in one word - intense. A dark, fiery, aggressive vocal style combined with true to life and conflictious lyrical genius relating to true-to-life issues such as religion, death, love, greed, and many others. DMX takes rap to a new level with his debut album, a true classic.

Awesome not just an album where there is 1 or 2 good tracks this has loads some of DMX best stuff.

Better than a lot of crap in today's market
Listened to this properly for the first time and have to say 'it's a winner'.
