This volume covers 1962-65. It is built around his first OKeh album "Its All Over", supplemented by 10 bonus cuts nine of which are previously unissued.
The words "Produced by Carl Davis and Curtis Mayfield, arranged by Riley Hampton" will be enough to ensure maximum sales to lovers of quality mid-60s soul everywhere.
Virtually none of this material has ever been available on CD before, anywhere in the world.
The OKeh label is still a byword in quality for 60s soul

IF YOU WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BUY (OR FIND) BILLY STWART'S ALBUM "I DO LOVE YOU", YOU'RE GONNA FLIP OVER THIS CLASSIC!!!,
By Mr. Nightshift - Published on Amazon.com

When 'Originally' released on Vinyl this album collected the bulk of Walter's charted and Non Charted Singles from 1962 to 1965. It included his 2 (Two) of his Billboard Charted Singles: "That's What Mama Said" (#44), And the Top Ten title track: "It's All Over", along with 3 new ALUBUM ONLY Tracks and those are fantastic pop songs done only the way Walter Jackson could have pulled them off! "A Blossom Fell", "There Goes That Song Again", and "Funny", Thus giving us a 'Sneak Peak' of what was to come on his next album entitled "Welcome Home-The Many Moods Of Walter Jackson" (Make sure you DO NOT sleep on this one that's also released on Compact Disc, with Bonus Tracks!). So, back to the 'Original' Vinyl you
got 12 (Twelve) Tracks! This same concept was also done with Billy Stewart's "I Do Love You" album, as well as Bobby Bland's "Two Steps From The Blues" album, BOTH of those pretty much collected previously released Singles and a FEW New tracks, And ALL of these Albums SOLD! The PLUS FACTOR with this Walter Jackson reissue is there are 10 (Ten) BONUS TRACKS to boot! 1 (One) B-Side only single "Starting Tomorrow", and 9 (Nine) Unreleased killers! Now be forwarned the production changes throughtout, but not too bad, and you must understand this was originally released in 1965, albums wasn't the big thing back then. Since it's release back in the day, it has remained a sought after collectors item! If you don't believe me check around and you'll see what the original album sells for. So now you got a chance to not only get rid of your well-played original vinyl, but you'll get to hear it from the original Master Tapes, and you'll get to hear not 2 (Two), but 10 (Ten) Bonus Tracks, now who could ask form more? And we have the good folks at Ace Records to thank for this. Well worth saving your pennies for!!! Keep your eyes on further reviews as they come in, and you'll see I was right. Walter Jackson could sing!!!! Point blank!!! Now if Ace Records can give Walter Jackson this kind of treatment of his Okeh recordings can you imagine what they could do with the Chess recordings of Jackie Ross, Billy Stewart, Gene Chandler and The Radients? ACE RECORDS...ARE YOU READING THIS? 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful:
