Product Description

Review

Dear Jane thank you so much for arranging to have a copy of Julie's book sent to us. I have found it to be compulsive reading - an exceptional account of the battle waged by two amazing people against a deadly foe. I really began to feel that I knew Joe and Julie because of Julie's informal and informative style in relating events and her pursuit of life-saving treatments. I have learnt a lot from the detailed results of Julie's years of research and thank her for sharing all of the information with us in her book, which certainly deserves to be a best-seller. VIVIENE, WEST YORKSHIRE 'Have just finished reading this extremely informative and incredibly moving account of a wife's endless support and sheer determination to extend her husband's life when faced with the worst prognosis. Julie Romani is an inspiration and I will most certainly be looking into changing my families diet based on reading her extensive research. A wonderful book which I believe will help many people. LUCY, HORSHAM I received your book yesterday and I could not stop reading it. It really moved me and brought me to tears. Reading about Joe's life made me admire him so much more. I am also so amazed by you!! All of the information which you have bundled in this book will help a lot of people. You are such a beautiful person Julie!! I can imagine that you feel sometimes weak and sad but reading your book made me realise how strong you are and how much love and fun you have in life. I have learned a lot from you and I want to thank you for it! Thank you for sharing! HANNAH, ESSAIDI AQUA TILIS THERAPY This book has held my attention and interest throughout. It is an emotional and heartrending read. Julie writes the emotional parts and her relationship with her husband as it was. Her unswerving dedication to help her husband through his terrible illness is a lesson to us all, at every turn of the illness she researched and found further treatments. At times this mammoth effort was detrimental to her own health, but nothing stopped her from continuing her quest for the best and most useful treatment for Joe. The chapter on visits to clinics will be very useful for others who may find themselves in a similar situation as Julie and Joe, many will not know the existence of some of these clinics. Julie shows an incredible knowledge of both alternative treatments and conventional medicine and is not afraid to analyse the benefits (or not) of specific treatments, this again could prove useful to others who are battling cancer. 'And so the Story Ends' reflects what many people may have had to go through when losing a loved one to such a terrible disease. It is poignantly written and very moving, and having followed Joe's and Julie's hopes and fears throughout the book, reduced me to tears. It is an incredible book and a tribute to a dedicated and loving couple'. DIANA VENNIS, AUTHOR

Its a sad fact of modern life that we will all know someone that will be touched by cancer, but rarely do we meet someone with the dedication, tenacity, and determination to try and beat it. This book is testament to that person, and her love for her husband, that took them on a global roller coaster in search of life extending treatments. This honest, tender, and sometimes graphic account of their journey, documents the potential alternative therapies available to treat cancer, but not commonly understood. You don't have to be suffering from cancer to read this book, it is full of lifestyle choices from the obvious to the shocking, that could prevent the onset of the disease, and assist in the fight against it.

What a wonderfully sensitive book. The tenacity and perseverance of Julie and Jo throughout their battle with cancer is truly inspirational. I keep loaning my copy to friends and colleagues who all say its one of the best reads on this topic. There's a real message here to people battling cancer - don't give up, try different therapies - because every additional day you have to be with your family is precious and they need to know they have tried 'everything' they can do to help you, with love. Bless all of you fighting this battle. x

A very well written book from Julie, giving so much research into alternative medicine. Giving us an insight into her life and work to keep her husband alive. Every day as precious as the last. You really got to know Julie through the book and kept wishing her along for an extra day with her dearly loved Joe. If the book only helps one person it will be a gift nobody else can give. Well done Julie, god bless and thank you.
