Product Description

From the Author

Understand why you procrastinate and how to change!
Here are some of the things my book will do:

. Through self-diagnostic quizzes, it can help you define your procrastination style(s), be it Perfectionist, Dreamer, Worrier, Defier (including passive-aggressive), Crisis-Maker or Overdoer.

. It will help you understand how your personality, environment and family influenced your pattern.

. It shows you how to change the pattern with a 3-prong approach that teaches you more effective ways of thinking, speaking and acting.

. It will give you many ideas about how to motivate yourself to stay on track, no matter how discouraged you may feel.

Wouldn't it be great if this year you could turn things around, take charge and be on top of tasks instead of always feeling regret, guilt, or embarrassment because you didn't do what you were supposed to or promised yourself you would do! --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

This book is written in an accessible and friendly style, even in parts of it ARE rather American for the UK market. Nevertheless, there is much here which - even on a first, quick read - offers much for those who are aware of their own procrastinating, or working to help others. I was fascinated by the 6 different styles of procrastinating, and, by taking the diagnostic test at the beginning of the book learnt what my own 'style' was; it makes sense and helps me to think about how I can go about changing. A good, basic introduction to this subject which avoids superficialtiy.

This is a very useful book for those who are actually concerned with a personal problem of procrastination. You do not waste your time by reading it. It can actually help, because of the competence of the author, her capability to find the right words to suggest problems and ideas that can support people in their autoanalysis.

The book contains a test to help you indentify your procrastination styles from among the six, which I found very enlightening. The sections that identify the causes of procrastination and ways to overcome them were extremely useful and produced very clear results. Highly recommended.

This book is an excellent and the only thing that would make it even better is if the author produced audio tapes for the visualization sessions to save the readers from having to make their own. Everyone I know would benefit from digesting this book except perhaps Bill Gates.

This book is too anoying to read because it doesn't realy reflect the way people procastinate. People are not automtons. They may have different reasons for the same reaction.
Read it only as an introduction to the procastination methodology.
