Shocking! 15 April 2005
ZBIGNIEW PREISNER - It's all about love

I truly think it's one of his greatest works ever. The score gets a very neat representation on this official UK release, with 20 tracks and a total of 54.54 duration, containing some excellent music which wasn't on the film, or was there but in different form, as well. A marvellous and memorable main theme which gets all kind of renditions and restates, piano, guitar, marvelous choir, solo soprano, Hammond organ, bass guitar, saw, harp and warm string orchestra along with some dark but discreet electronics make up for one of the most dark, emotional and shocking scores. With hints of his previous DEKALOG and TROIS COULEURS trilogy scores (especially ROUGE and BLEU) comes a compelling work by one of the most talented modern film music composers. Totally recommended.
