The Italian Prince's Proposal, 13 Dec 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Italian Prince's Proposal (Mills & Boon Modern) (Paperback)
A man and a woman disagree, argue, fight and fall in love. A theme that has been used before, but this story is different. The characters are believeable - the reader wants Emily and Alessandro to get together, feels for them both when they don't. There is a depth of understanding in this story that far exceeds similar works.
Sue Stephens' great strength is in her scenes - they are dramatic, vivid. The reader is there, taking part in the argument or the love-making. Sue is also a very sensuous writer. The tug of war competition and then the visit to Monte Volere show what she can do to involve the reader, make the reader experience what is happening.
Enjoyed this no end. Now looking for any others she might have written.
