The dvd boxset is great and for the price is worth it! The first film is excellent and is played out well by the actors and actresses! It is a fun film with the Classic best british car to date, the Mini! Shame that the sequal to it was never produced, but the re make of the film I thought was just average and the story line could've been made better. I thought the car scenes could've been longer and the ending a little better, but still, it was decent enough to watch!

The original Italian Job is without doubt a classic piece of British acting, worthy of enternal praise. The remake isn't! However, no remake of a classic is going to live up to the original (although Oceans 11 is close), and this new film is still entertaining and does a reasonable job at keeping true to the original intent and story line. Ok, so Hollywood has gotten involved and made this a big picture production, but the limited cast and action sequences are still good and mostly believable (although the helicopter chase scene does go ott).

I liked it, and the box set offers you the chance to see both films in one evening. Not bad and worth a look

Magic,

very entertaining.
All I am hearing in my mind is the self preservation society. Great fun. Recent film excellent, but not as good as the original!
