Book Description

15 Mar 2013
Many books have been published about Italian motorcycles, but none has focused exclusively on the Italian motorcycle-based chopper, bobber, trike, and quad custom bike scene - until now. Even though customising is not normally associated with Italian brands, there are some fantastic individually-built Italian custom bikes out there, old and new. In recognition of the trend Ducati entered into a new market segment when it launched its power cruiser Diavel in November 2010, while Moto Guzzi has its Aquila Nero range...these and many other custom-style bikes have been well-received in the customs scene. This book looks at some of the fascinating custom projects out there, accompanied by stunning photography of the finished bikes. This is a great book for Italian bike fans, and fans of the custom bike scene in general.

love custom bikes but never thought that an Italian bike could be done as you don't seen too many around, unless i'm looking in the wrong place? great book and if you like Italian bikes and the custom world, certainly puts a new spin on things - grin.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for motorbike lovers... 29 April 2013
After loving this author's BMW books, I was intrigued to see his take on customized Italian bikes.
This book delivers in presenting fascinating custom Ducati's & Moto Guzzi's, along with the rest of customized Italians from around the planet. It also has some historic Italian three wheelers in it. Very informative, with great photography. Highly recommended!

A very nice collection of photos and background text highlighting the bobber, chopper and back yard engineer of custom motorcycles built around Italian power plants.

3.0 out of 5 stars By custom, their mean choppers... 24 May 2013
By william c johnson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. The content is pretty limited. It's almost all "choppers", nothing that hasn't been on DucCutters for years. No custom performance bikes. It is nice to see so many of the DucCutters members bikes together in print. I post a list of all of them later. You can clearly see the DucCutters logo on Ricky Gonzalez's "Hyper Devil"! Good printing, but a poor layout. Most the text looks to have been lifted from old magazine/blog articles.
