Which language? 24 Feb 2009
By C. X. Linton-Willoughby TOP 500 REVIEWER
As with all Michelin guides, the language used is predominantly that of the country being featured.

So, for 'Italia 2009 Annual Guide 2009' the text is predominantly in Italian. However, there are also useful Summary sections in English, French and German.

When it comes to having one guide with a wide range of hotels & restaurants plus consistent city maps the Michelin Red Guides still work best. Notwithstanding the wide range of travel books each with their own take on a particular city the Michelin alone set out broad listings with all the key information readily to hand in one place. Admittedly there is no commentary so additional research is still worthwhile - but the entries always seem consistent, the city maps are still worthwhile even if you use googlemaps on your iphone there is still nothing to beat a real map and the durable binding survives much punishment
