Saying Fuck It is like massage for the mind - relaxing you, releasing tension, giving up on things that aren't working. Just starting to say Fuck It can transform your life. Saying Fuck It feels good - to stop struggling and finally do what you fancy; to ignore what everyone's telling you and go your own way.John C. Parkin argues that saying Fuck It is a spiritual act: That it is the perfect western expression of the eastern ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realising that things don't matter so much (if at all). This is the Fuck It way.

From the Back Cover

'Everyone can relate to F**k It.' - The Times

Saying Fuck It is like a massage for the mind: relaxing you, releasing tension, allowing you to give up on things that aren't working. Just starting to say Fuck It can transform your life. And John C. Parkin argues that saying Fuck It is a spiritual act: that it is the perfect western expression of the eastern ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realising that things don't matter so much (if at all). This is the Fuck It way.

John C. Parkin, the son of Anglican preachers, realised that saying Fuck It was as good as all the eastern spiritual practices he'd been studying for 20 years. Having said Fuck It to a top job in London, he escaped to Italy to set up the retreat centre The Hill That Breathes, where he now teaches regular 'Fuck It Weeks' with his wife Gaia. He writes regularly on his website (thefuckitway.com) and has been featured on T.V., such as The Graham Norton Show, and in the national press, including The Guardian, The Observer, The Times, Psychologies, Cosmopolitan and Red Magazine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting, liberating and witty 9 Dec 2008

This is a very good book for those of us who have too much of a conscience and who try far too hard to do it all right all the time.It makes you feel really good reading this book. The ideas are written very simply and its easy to see how to adapt the same attitude into your daily life. Its fun to read with humourus comments and a light-hearted approach is just what we need in life.Buy it if you feel the need to say the phrase or if you just have problems letting go-this book is all you need to guide yourself into a relaxed and stress free way of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars An inspirational modern-day spiritual book :) 15 July 2011
By LeeWood
Format:Paperback
I've read a lot of information regarding how to let go and live in the moment to no avail...until I read this book. John takes the eastern view of letting go, and giving into the flow of life by simply saying the words, "F**k it".

Trust me, it works. It's simpler than meditating, and it costs you nothing in expensive classes or alternative therapies. If you're looking for some modern day wisdom with a dash of ancient practices, purchase this book.

You will never regret it :)

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing - not for me 21 Jan 2011
By hughie
Format:Paperback
This book has one idea which is repeated again and again. The author has very little insight and I find the humour grating after a while. And then for some reason he tags on some tai chi exercises at the end, simply to fill some space. Two stars for a good cover though!
