Oxford provides rich pickings for this collection by local writers. Many areas of this fascinating city are explored in this book. As an Oxford resident I re-visited many of the locations where the stories are set with a new eye. The city has been written about so often and is probably most famous for the many murders that Inspector Morse has solved over the years.
This book provides another backdrop - an eclectic mix of tongue in cheek humour, love, loss, magic, elevenses and of course, death too! I really enjoyed these short and entertaining tales.
I think locals will love it as they will recognise Oxford's eccentricities. Visitors will enjoy it as well as it may steer them off the usual well-worn tourist trail. Oxford has many more places to uncover and I notice that this is Book One. I look forward to Book 2!

There are some real gems in this collection of short stories. Great for Oxford residents and visitors. Some wacky goings-on in these supposedly well-known Oxford locations. I am not sure I will ever see Oxford the same way again!
