Having purchased this from a high street book chain for £7 despite being cheaper here I maintain it is worth every penny. The scale of the information packed into this small volume is impressive to say the least!

I haven't yet had the opportunity to put its content to practice but found the information offered invaluable as a student who will spend 8 months in Jerusalem at Mount Scopus.

The book begins with a short introduction several pages long and Israel 'In A Nutshell' to make any prospective tourist aware of the situation in Israel regarding the conflict, its culture and politics, and a brief timeline of its history. It approaches this topic sensitively without making Israel out to be the big bad wolf unfortunately often portrayed in some media, it gives relevant information as to not deter tourists.

The following chapters explore both the North, South, Mediterranean Coast and Jerusalem with all relevant tourists spots in these locations that tourists of any faith or background may want to see, along the way suggesting useful hotels and hostels, places to eat and drink, brief histories, sightseeing spots, and additional information (I.e. Visitor centers, tourist boards, etc). There are also numerous useful maps, the back cover is a general overview of Israel in its entirety. Several pages towards the end which are a road atlas, as well as a plastic sleeve including a larger road map of Israel. The back cover also folds out to reveal a detailed map of Jerusalem with all locations anybody would need to know including the Old City and its four quarters, the City of David, Musrasa (Morosha), David's Tomb, Damascus Gate, and so on.

This is an upto date concise guide to touring Israel. I found it had as much information as much more expensive guides. the colour pictures and maps were good. An added bonus was the pullout large map of Israel in a protective sleeve at the back of the book.
Highly recommended for the price.
