I think this is a cracking wee series to be blatantly honest.
I am not a fan of ITV and generally their nature type programmes aren't all that.
This time is different. Martin Clunes' personality is used to great effect when it comes to this subject of islands and his willingness to get stuck right in gives you a much better all round picture of each island.
I learnt so much watching this as I had never heard of many of these islands. Their history, uniqueness and interesting stories were just superb to watch.
Give this series a go. Granted, it's an old format of a man travelling around Britain but it works wonderfully with Martin Clunes and a whole host of islands that very few people know anything about. Great TV personality with a fresh and fantastically interesting view on island life.

Another ITV series and well worth buying.
A lovely easy visit round our islands at a leisurely pace and fronted by martin Clunes who makes a superb job of it. He makes it interesting even if scripted.

A very good, interesting and fascinating account of Island life around Britain. Martin Clunes delves into the lives and history of people living off the shores of Britain from the most Northern tip to the most Southern.
His friendly, open and happy go lucky approach make this series really enjoyable. His interaction with folk he meets make this an ideal 'weekend watch.' The only drawback I found was that it ended all too quickly!

Islands of Britain
We have watched this DVD and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is informative and amusing and gives plenty of ideas for places to visit, which we are looking forward to doing.
