A quickie packed with some funny one liners, and a few good love scenes.
3.5 Stars - Fiji Fantasy
I liked this story a bit more than the last. The story got right down to business, there was no beating around the bush which is essential in these short stories. Connie and Michael had a fiery coming together. It was really passionate and also super sweet at the same time. I don't want to give it away, but Connie's trickery was a bit far fetched to me, but I was glad they were able to move past it. This story kept me interested, and when it was over I wished it wasn't because I wanted to read more about these characters.

This was a great read as usual by Ms. Beverly! I am never disappointed with her work. I so enjoyed the descriptions of the islands and such throughout this story....perhaps one day i'll make it there! I loved the chemistry between Anita and Steve! Great job Ms. Beverly...pick this one up you will not be disappointed!! I just finished Fiji Fantasy and i really enjoyed it. Michael and Contessa (Connie) had amazing chemistry and i was glad to see her come out of shell as Connie. Another great collaboration between these authors!!

Beverly Jenkins captures the spirit of a romance book for me. It starts of with a slow simmer and a few sparks, heats up eventually leading to a fiery inferno. That's the way Hawaii Magic goes. It starts with the spark in the airport when she falls and nearly busts her behind, I laughed because she deserved it. Try as you will to deny but the body doesn't lie. If he heats you up just a little and makes you have to do a studder step then there is something more there. Add in the fact that he just keeps popping up...well you might as well bite the bullet and that Anita definitely did. One by one pieces fell in place to make that connection happen. Now the crash I could have personally done without but they made it work, heating up their nights keeping each others spirits among other things lifted. It was a great start to the pair of stories.
Fiji Fantasy was a little harder to swallow when she came back to reality. I loved the idea of dawning another persona and traveling across the world to an island paradise to live out your fantasy. Going into a club with the express interest of taking a man home is dangerous but exciting at the same time. Each man unbeknownst them were competing for the pleasure of taking her home and making love to her. Micheal recognized the hunt and quickly dispensed of all competitors. What are the odds of meeting a man who happens to be your bosses son. Reality came back quickly and she couldn't undo what she had done. She had a fling with her new boss and tried hard to change her image so when she got back to work she didn't resemble the woman he fell in love with in Fiji. It worked for awhile but then he noticed her and went after her guns blazing. It was interesting how everything panned out especially with her brother...that's a story in itself.
