Isaac Newton - The Inspirational Life Story Of Isaac Newton, An Apple Fell Then Things Pulled Together

Born shortly after the death of another great scientist Galileo, Isaac Newton was a keen learner even if his school records proved otherwise. And just like Galileo, he used mathematics to explain his theories and ideas. Newton became a great scientist because he took the ideas of his predecessors and combined them with his own theories to create a unified picture of how he thought the universe worked.
When people speak of Isaac Newton, they would probably picture a man sitting under an apple tree thinking about why the apple fell from the tree. Although the theory of gravity can be attributed to him, that is not his only contribution to humankind, he was also a great philosopher and theologist who provided people with unorthodox ideas that would later be used in different studies.
Although Isaac Newton lived in the 16th century, his theories and ideas are still being used in various experiments and researches. Those who have worked to improve his theories became famous themselves. In the end, Isaac Newton’s discoveries laid the foundations of modern science. However, his greatest contribution was opening the eyes of humanity to different possibilities.

Here is a preview of what you will learn in this book:

* Sir Isaac Newton's early life.
* Struggles of young newton during his school years.
* Newton's various contributions to the fields of science.
* The apple that fell.
* Lessons in Sir Isaac Newton's inspirational life story.
* And much more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great one by Watson! 24 July 2014
By Karen Ruggiero - Published on

I must admit, I didn’t know much about Isaac Newton before reading this book. I have read other books by Watson, and originally had no interest in this one. However, I felt compelled to purchase it due to the fact that I have the others.

I never knew the struggles that he had to go through in order to rise to the top scientists in our entire history. What a brilliant man! He sure does know his stuff. I must admit that after reading this, I feel inspired. Everyone goes through obstacles in their lives, and too many people use those obstacles as excuses as to why they don’t complete their goals. Reading about Isaac Newton can teach people that you need to keep pushing ahead. We all have potential; we just need to learn how to use it properly.

Highly recommend this one to everyone!

3.0 out of 5 stars Short, poorly written but 8 July 2014

Still entertaining. The book occasionally gets lost in intertwining facts with personal growth based on Newton as the inspiration. Taken in that context, however, it is an interesting, short read. Otherwise, it is dull.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've learned about Isaac Newton during school like most people 26 July 2014
By just a girl - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've learned about Isaac Newton in school like most people. I knew he was a genius, but not much besides that. I learned so much in this little e-book than I ever thought possible.
It turns out, that like a lot of "average" people, Newton had a rough childhood. His father passed away before he was born, and his mother got remarried and sent him to live with his grandmother. That was just the start of his struggle. He did horrible academically, and was even a failed farmer! He wasn't thought of as being smart (yet alone genius) until later in his life. How surprising is that?
He kept going and eventually got recognition. In addition, he has contributed to many more fields than I had previously thought. He is just the prime example that hard work and dedication goes a long way.
Like other books this series, the last chapter includes inspirational quotes. This always turns out to be one of the most interesting parts of the book.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It's a fast and easy way to learn about Newton's life and accomplishments. I will definitely continue to read more books from this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Isaac Newton is an Enigma! 28 Dec 2013
By Claire - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am actually a geek, so allow me to say that Sir Isaac Newton had always been one of the few scientists I have looked up to when I was in gradeschool. He had a very interesting, if not a little lonely childhood, but he rose up to become one of the greatest inventors ever. His discovery and knowledge of gravity had held my interest in science in more ways than one, and up until now, I thank him for sharing these information to the world.

This book covered a lot about Newton, including his contributions to the society in the fields of Mathematics, Optics, Chemistry, even Alchemy. The inventions he made (reflecting telescope, the cooling cup, etc) were a delight to read. Indeed, I would have to agree that Newton is as much an enigma to us as he was, no doubt, to himself.
3.0 out of 5 stars Great! 3 Aug 2014
By Jennifer Nestor - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I have to say, the author did a great job composing this book. It kept me interested. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is VERY SHORT!!! Great for younger children. However, if you liked this book, try the one about Albert Einstein, too. They have a similar style.
