Amazon.co.uk Review

Monkey and Elephant are both alone so they decide to be friends. Monkey has lots of experience of friendship, but Elephant has none. Monkey soon takes charge and has Elephant doing all the things he, Monkey, likes doing best. Poor Elephant doesn't enjoy it nearly as much and eventually goes back to being alone. Can Monkey work out where he has gone wrong so they can be friends again? Marjorie Newman's strong, simple text, brought to life by Peter Bowman's humorous illustrations, confronts and explores one of the key issues of early childhood in a warm and reassuring way. Ideal for young children taking their first steps into the tricky area of friendship. --Philippa Reece --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

Monkey and Elephant decide to be friends, but the path to true friendship is sometimes a bumpy one--especially when one friend is just a little thoughtless. Will Monkey and Elephant ever make a team? Will they discover what it is that friends do? This is another instructive, reassuring tale for young children from the author and illustrator of "The King and the Cuddly."

I love this book and use it often in school with my classes of Reception children. It looks at what friendship is and the children love it.

For the first time I am disappointed with a purchase from/via Amazon! I bought this book for my Nurture Group at school. The seller stated that it was in very good condition. I disagree. It is an ex-public library book which has been very well used. Also, it actually cost me more (inc, p & p) than a brand new one would have done! I would never buy anything from a private seller again.

Book arrived on time and was super quality, (described as new but used). Would use the seller again, no hesitation.
