This is a great version of a self help book. The title may have some of you backing away but it is filled with information to help the reader understand the pitfalls within relationships. We can all fall into the false expectations, hopes and misunderstandings of being in a relationship and this book clearly sets outs the ways in which we can navigate through differences and difficulties in order to find a healthy,respectful and mature love in our lives.

This is a really informative book that covers a subject dear to all of us - relationships...
This book has a psychotherapy flavour and the model mainly used is Transactional Analysis - however it is readable even if you've not interested in "psycho-babble" and want to read something that will help you find love, stay in love and learn to love yourself...
As an added bonus it is full of wonderful experiential exercises that are very enlightening and can help you get better...

I've read a few books on love addiction and this is a helpful addition to the stable (though I think it was one of the first??). It looks at some of the reasons why relationships don't work, and how dependency and/or addiction can be what stifles and ruins relationships. There was a particularly helpful chapter on what healthy love and relationships are like.
It is written from a psythotherapeutic point of view - which is different to many of the books out there which are from a twelve step point of view. I think that people at a certain level of difficulty and who really can't stop their behaviours would need a twelve step approach. However those people would find this book interesting and helpful, I think.
