Informative and entertaining. Unfortunately, by the time Mark got to the 4x4 in the series he'd gone a bit more showbiz. It just didn't seem to provide the same volume of techy info that previous projects provided. Despite that comment, well worth viewing and the end result almost made me go out and buy a Defender.

Again Mark Evans delivers a good product for the enjoyment of all car enthusiast out there. The "A x is born" series are entertaining, sometimes funny, informative, but mostly it gives us a good overview of what challenges we are likely to face when taking up such project.
I am currently restoring a 78MGB and I can tell you I have used Mark Evans DVD as a reference in several instances. I like Mark's enthusiasm for the project, DVD has a bit of production which is nice, in the end... is just fun to watch. On the first videos you can tell Mark skills are the same as many guys out there who change the oil of their cars... but on the last one, where he restores a Jaguar E Type, it's evident he has improved a lot.
If you are a car fan, you should see Mark Evans Born series.

I just loved the TV series and I like owning the dvd even more .I like the fact that there are two discs and they are laid out so that I can choose to watch the tech stuff or the off road clips etc ,just as the test and the training sections are separate I like the layout. My only criticism is that as we have already seen the series on the box I would have liked to have seen a much longer section on the testing of the vehicle. I would like to have seen it really tested and to have seen "Pete mate" behind the wheel too, he sure deserved it.

entertaining and informative DVD
This is a very entertaining DVD which was easy to watch and educational. I learned a lot about landrovers make-up and history. Well worth the money.
