Claire Banning is abducted by the dark and dangerous Hugh Battancourt. He thinks she is a beautiful but loose moralled spy and she believes he is a prirate and a scoundrel. They are both mistaken and soon, sharing a cabin their wills clash and the sexual tension rises.
Good (not so clean) fun, this starts really well, with a case of mistaken identity and a lot of swash buckling. It does go downhill after the 'mix up' is cleared up and loses a lot of the humor and sexy romping but it's still a nice read. Not one of her best but enjoyable nonetheless.
