It's always good to see another quality album featuring the Irish railway scene in the 1950s and 1960s, and Derek Huntriss's book is highly evocative in many ways. There's a good balance and variety, though in a few cases the colour reproduction is not quite perfect. Many of the images are new, though a few old favourites get another airing. The quality of the captions is rather mixed (and in some cases inaccurate): the author might have consulted a little more widely as he gathered his information. Overall, though, a book which I found worthwhile - it brought back many happy memories of a period I was lucky enough to have experienced for myself!
