Irish music karaoke DVDs are hard to come by, so of the three currently on offer, I have to vote this one the best.
The operation of the DVD is quite flexible and you are able to choose male or female accompaniment or, of course, the true karaoke version. The compilation features quite a diverse selection of tracks... from the predictable Danny Boy, Bunch of Thyme, Molly Malone and Mountains of Mourne to the surprising Do you want your old lobby washed down con shine, Black Velvet Band, Murshin Durkin and When you were sweet sixteen. Fifteen tracks in all with others like Cliffs of Dooneen, Mary from Dungloe, Slievenamon, Rose of Allendale and Boolavogue making up the rest.
The lyrics of the songs are clear and well syncronised and good use is made of the background video, which shows excellent scenery of Ireland. The only problem I encountered was that the songs seemed to be performed in a very low key and also the tempo of the songs was painfully slow. Apart from that, this is the best Irish Karaoke DVD around. Good luck !!
