Last year we used the Drive Around Scotland book in this same series, and it was wonderful. Lots of great color maps, things to do & see along the way, recommended routes with scenic highlights, etc. We are planning our trip to Ireland, and this book is just as good. I highly recommend the series. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because some of the entries were out-dated (e.g., a bagpipe factory that burned down years ago).

Even though a travel agent planned our trip, I used this book a lot during our recent trip to Ireland. It had some fantastic itineraries in it. I found it a little dated but more helpful than the agent. I see a new one is coming out soon; I will plan our next trip with it.
