Great book to read to get a better insight of living in Iran. See/read for yourself that not all Iranians are exremists and suicide killers.
Must read if you want to travel in Iran or passing trough.
Witty remarks from Jamie are a good read! Good to read that generosity still exists. Could be a good educational book as well to us westerns who take a lot for granted and forgotten how good it is to cummunicate to other people and give help regardless to anyone!
Lovely!

What a hoot! 11 Nov 2009
Format:Hardcover
I don't usually read travel books, but the somewhat provocative title of Jamie Maslin's 'Iranian Rappers and Persian Porn' intrigued me, so I thought I'd give it a try. Boy am I glad I did!

The punchy informative style and fun-loving nature in which the book is written often made me forget just how dangerous some of the events in the book really are. Maslin seems to live the lifestyle that we all dream of, taking off on adventures on a whim and getting into all sorts of scrapes and encounters. Lucky for us he's taken the trouble to record what he gets up to so that we can all enjoy it!

A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining book that I just couldn't put down. 5 stars!!

This book is better than Bill Bryson on mushrooms! I wish I'd had these adventures. Great book, great tales.
