Product Description
The new Ipevo Free 2, with LCD display, is a USB handset designed for use with Skype which encorporates the familiarity of a normal telephone, with the freedom of Skype calls.
Ipevo Free 2 translates the Skype interface into simple keypad and toggle operations. Derived from the less-gives-more concept of Skype, the opening on the mouthpiece has an anti-echo design.
The addition of the backlit LCD display allows total integration of the Skype application in the palm of your hand.

I am using this handset with my mac book when i am in cafe's, because it has good sound quality and noise canceling that the lap top does not.
The handset is small so its good to travel with but because the phone is so square it does tend to dig into my ear so i don't find it comfortable to use for long.
On the whole i would recommend this product.

The Ipevo seems to be one of the few phones available for use with Apple. I'm pretty impressed, this is the second Ipevo I've bought; one for home, one for office...
From a functionality point of view it's a simple plug and play if you just want to use out of the box, but you won't get keypad functionality, or the ability to change the volume using the phone's buttons until you install the software provided.
I've given this four stars instead of five because the phone must load the IPEVO control centre on startup if you want these extra functions. Personally I would have preferred if this was a little more integrated with skype so that it was a hidden process.
Other than that, its a great little phone which allows you to handle your skype number(s)!

Excellent companion for mac users

Hooking up this handset with my intel imac is a no-brainer!
I downloaded the driver from ipevo [...] and in a few miniutes I could start talking with my dad (who's in another country thousands of miles away) through the internet!
I've been using it for about two months and I think this is the best usb handset in the market. It's got echo cancellation so the voice quality is outstanding.
The design is super slick, totally different from those cheap-design ones sold on ebxy. There's a small lcd screen on the handset, it comes in extremely handy when you want to call somebody, and if you are a lazy bone like I am, all you need to do just to browse the contact list through the lcd screen and hit the "call" button without even touching your computer.
By the way, I tested it with my ubuntu linux machine, it worked right off the bat. Oh well, of course those buttons don't work because there's no drivers. But at least it can techincally work as a combination of mic + earphone for any voip soft phones.
For those who are in the market for a usb handset, I highly recommend this one.

Perfect voice quality

I own a mac, and it's really hard to find Skype gear out there. I love this phone, because it's affordable (firs things first!), it's stylish, and it's got impeccable voice quality. Crystal clear, much better than a rotary phone, with no echo. Love it.
