Inexpensive, simple and effective. The unit is reasonably quiet if put on a foam pad, about the level that would be expected from an aquarium. I anticipate running it 24/7 on the lowest setting and will probably save quite a bit, as it replaces a fan
To expect it to clear a smoky atmosphere quickly, especially in a large room, is probably asking too much but that is what windows are for. My living space is about 5m x 5m and the air was noticeably cleaner within the space of an hour. I also noticed the water starting to discolour quite quickly.
I do not plan to use the "smellies"; clean air is good enough and I particularly like the low maintenance (no filters) aspect. All in all, a very useful product at a very reasonable price.

Having used ionisers some years ago, I thought they may help my partner who suffers from chest problems and a constant cough. As yet I do not detect any improvement, but the ionisers certainly do attract dust into them. So I guess they can be called 'air purifiers'.
However I did not expect them to be so noisy, and I could do without the' pretty lights' effect. Also I was very surprised at how large they were and struggled to site them appropriately.
When I viewed online the model was white, so I was quite surprised to find I had two blue ones! They do not fit well into the decor!

I've been suffering from post-nasal drip since moving into my new rented house, as my room has a lot of soft furnishings. Compared to the other reviews i read, this seemed easier to clean and wouldnt have to worry about buying new filters etc. I've used it for a few weeks now, and i do believe it does 'lighten' the air.
My housemate tried it and felt the same thing. The water does get really cloudy and i can see specks of dust in it, I assume its all the dust in the air? But i would say its ideal for the price and the convenience of cleaning it! It's pretty too, it has changing lights, the sound is as one put it, 'like having a washing machine in the next room' but you get used to the white noise i suppose. I specifically asked for a white one, because the fine print says they will choose a colour at random, so I recommend if u are particular to email them! they were very compliant with my request. Yeah and my postnasal drip IS getting better, but hasnt totally resolved. So yeah if you are looking for a cheap, pretty, purifier go for it! :)

Great!
Just great, exactly what I was looking for. Its quite decorative and the light gives a gentle relaxing glow. I keep this in my kitchen removing all those smells from cooking.

Cheap and effective
