As the other reviewer says the fan on this is very noisy - disappointing as I bought it to use with a media PC in the lounge.

Looking forward to a new storage capability I was shocked to find it was nothing of the sort just 3.65 so where I wonder is the other3.05tb I paid for.
I could not believe the noise of the fan, after the WB My Book 2tb it is just TOO noisy and needs to... be housed in another room! - If only I could.
Suggest that you pay the extra for the WB item if it is as quiet as the 2tb version - I would do that if i had the option.
Connectability is good with the three options.

I have had one of these for over two years now. I use it for everything, work (film footage, editing and music) and personal (storing photos, films, music). It has never crashed,frozen or lost/corupted any data in this time.
Yes it is a little louder than some other but I know many people who have used other good brands which are quieter, but after many months of intensive work they usually lose performance or stop working.
If you need a tough (it travels well) work horse get this.
