For advanced users

This machine is for advanced users. The StorCenter PS4-300R NAS OTB array is a true performer. With this device I am able to share files across platforms. It offers iSCSI block access. The RAID drives keep the data safe.
My sales team often is in need of a variety of forms and they queue up infront of the printer all the time. Now there is no need to queue up as PX4-300R offers advanced print server features called intelligent print sharing capability. The device can connect to 3 printers simultaneously.
The UPS support enables that the system does not abruptly shut down when there is a power interruption. So no worry of data crash! Managing this NAS device is easy as email alerts are sent informing the status of my device which makes it easier to administer the device even when I am away from the work site. Recommended for advanced users!

Unique yet versatile

You do not have much choice when it comes to rackmount NAS. Iomega has recently released storcenter px4-300r network storage array rackmount device. The addition of cloud technology in the rackmount NAS drive has made it unique yet versatile. I chose the px4-300r for just one reason, the cloud storage option. All the other features in the storcenter are almost similar to other rackmount NAS devices that are available in the market but the cloud storage option has made the px4-300r exclusive.
The cloud option not just ensures remote access and easy sharing of files but also protection of data. It helps in disaster recovery. By installing two px4-300r in different locations and connecting it through the cloud you can replicate data which can come handy during disk crash.

A great rackmount NAS device

In the rackmount NAS storage drive section, Iomega has secured a place for itself. The 1U chassis comes with four bays that are supported by solid metal drive carriers. The LCD panel informs the status of the system and the information is very useful to learn about the functioning of the device. I have configured the machine for RAID 5 arrays. The device also supports mirrors and stripes. The device also has a pair of Gigabit Ethernet ports that can be bonded for fault torrent. The Storage Manager utility helps to locate the appliance on the network.
The Iomega px4-300r is easy to operate as a wizard helps to work on basic tasks like Active Directory setup and email altering.
