Stark Resilient is a great comic. It feature something you don't normally get to see in comics; normal real world dialogue and relationships.for a large part this doesn't feel like a action based comic. Fraction takes a great amount of time and effort into show Tony rebuild his company and relationships, something most writers would ignore. however, that comes at a cost, action packed fights do not feature in book 1 at all, instead book 1 builds the foundations for book 2. The Art Is Brilliant and writing is brilliant. if you prefer the more action based comics then this book is not for you, if your an ironman fan or just want to start reading a strong character driven story then read this and book 2 together.

So ok, this is book 1 of 2. So ok, Stark is just waking up after having lost everything in the previous story arc. So ok, he really did get on the wrong sides of people before the lead-up to Dark reign. Just stop apologising man!
And he does apologise a lot during the start of the book, but this is a book of how he get's it all back together again so you have to expect that. It's a long story setup with blips of action interspersed, building up to Stark resilient book 2. It's a necessary buildup and it's pretty good. The tension is all there in the form of some new (yet old) rivals who have some kind of long play sabotage against Stark and his new direction.
The artwork is fresh and the dialogue, although quite long at times (he does do a lot of talking) is ok. All in all, something to tide over till the meat (Stark Resilient book 2).

Tony Stark's initial volumes were quite something with a mix of well paced story and action.
Volume 1 seting up his company's downfall with 2 & 3 having him flee from Osborn's forces and the previous 4 setting up post Seige.
Alot of this story really only sets up future events - Stark's 'new' company, the 'new' suite and his constant appologies for Civil War & Secret Invasion.
The suit is awsome despite seeing very little of it in action, the 'sorry' get old as he does not say much more. The art work as always remains excellent and after the two part installment 'Most Wanted' the pacing should be accustomed by now.
