Handsome Looks But Weak Luminosity 8 May 2010
By ZarDoz - Published on Amazon.com
The Invicta 7041 Signature series diver's watch scores high marks from me for
attractive looks and a sapphire crystal for easy reading. The screw-in crown
has a high quality feel. Rotating the scalloped bezel is quite difficult
especially with wet fingers. I would prefer the coin edge style used on the
Invicta 8126c. The Miyota movement on this watch runs about 18 seconds fast per
24 hours. Not great but acceptable for an automatic movement. The stainless
steel band once properly fitted looks and feels great. The only drawback is
that the polished center links tend to smudge easily. Invicta does include a
polishing cloth which is helpful.

The "dagger" style hour and minute hands are easy to read in dim lighted rooms or
out of doors. But the most disappointing aspect of this watch is the weak coating
of Invicta's Tritnite brand of luminous on the hands and hour indicators. Even after
charging several hours in bright sunlight or florescent lighting, the hour indicators
fade to unreadability after about 30 minutes. The hour and minute hands fair somewhat
better and last for about two hours. I found the lack of luminosity a major draw back
since this watch is allegedly Invita's answer to the much brighter Seiko black monster.
All in all this is not a bad watch. Just don't count on reading the time in the dark
hours prior to dawn.

good value. not sapphire 9 Nov 2012

The watch case measures right at 40mm. Initial quality impression is good, however i was dissapointed to find the crystal is flame-fusion mineral glass, and not sapphire as the photo shows on the caseback shot. Overall still a nice watch, but the sapphire was one of the main reasons i pulled the trigger. Seller should update with correct photos to avoid confusion. Fifth invicta watch for me, good value, as with any mineral glass crystal, the watch outlasts the glass for me.

Good watch at a great price. 9 April 2013

No, I cannot afford a Rolex, blah, blah, blah. If they grew on trees, I would love to have a Submariner. But they don't so this is what I bought. I know there has been some disappointment as this item has been listed as having a sapphire crystal when in fact it does not. The 7041 has Invicta's proprietary Flame-Fusion crystal. I have read great things about the Flame-Fusion's toughness from other users. I expected the 7041 to have the Miyota movement but my 7041 came with the Seiko NH36A movement which is 24 jewel with manual wind capability and hacking second hand. I think this is a step up over the Miyota and the NH36A has some pretty good things beeing said about it across the net. All in all, I am pleased with this $395 watch that I was able to pick up here for $100. The two-tone band looks better than I expected considering I didn't want the two-tone to begin with. If you want a classy looking watch on a budget, consider the 7041.

Conclusion Pros :
- quality Seiko NH36A automatic movement with hack and manual winding;
- very good accuracy (from -2 till -5 sec. per day-night);
- beautiful and comfortable design (for the hands girth 16-18 centimeters);
- screw down crown;
- great price.
Conclusion Cons :
- rotating bezel (scalloped type) is difficult (the coin edge bezel is better).

Nice Watch For The Price 10 Feb 2013

chose to purchase this model pro diver for a few different reasons. One being the price for a Seiko NH36A automatic movement, case construction and saphatek 10 year warranty crystal. The biggest reason was the day/date complication being I already own the pro diver 8926 with the NH35A and the 9937 with the Sellita Swiss automatic which are both great watches but only have the date complication. The Seiko automatic movements all seem to be unadjusted. Finely anyway. Some run a bit fast, some a bit slow but easy enough to fine tune within a few seconds per day. I prefer to adjust a few seconds fast and have acquired a +1-+2 per day on these Seiko automatics. Invicta makes a real decent watch for the money depending upon model and movement combination. You cannot go wrong within the Pro Diver series.
I find this particular model to be unique amongst the rest of the divers they make with its bold dial and Omega Seamaster homage style and highly recommend this model or any other 40mm Pro Diver watch.
