This book explains very well the principles behind investing in shares and offers a very realistic view of this type of investment, explaining the risks clearly, and proposing a sound strategy to get started.

This book is a very good read if its your first book, however if your a few books in don't bother it's probably a little basic. If you are reading this as your first book that's great I would recommend that your next book is Trading For Dummies

If you are new to share trading this could be a good book for you.
When you want to move on to more detailed analysis, (WHEN & WHAT to BUY and WHEN TO SELL) consider other Dummies books.
I prefer to use technical Analysis (see TA for Dummies), but if you prefer analysis of Fundamentals, see FA for Dummies.
You will need more than in this book alone to trade sucessfully, but you need to get a solid grouding before you start to trade.
When you want to move on to more detailed analysis, (WHEN & WHAT to BUY and WHEN TO SELL) consider other Dummies books.
