Product Description

Book Description
It happens to all of us. The "Aha!" moment, when you feel the whole world tip a little, and you realize, suddenly, that a great idea has just landed on top of you. Then, there's the dawning realisation of just how big this idea could be, and how much money it could make. We've all had it. It's called "inspiration".

Tell me something: If you bought a lottery ticket, and your numbers came up, would you cash it in? Of course you would! Can you imagine anyone with a winning ticket saying "Oh, no - I only bought it for fun. I don't want all the problems of millionairedom." No, I can't imagine it either!

And yet, every day, people with great ideas do exactly that! That little voice says to them "You don't even know where to start." and "Everybody's going to rip you off!", and "How much is this going to cost you?" They shuffle in their chairs and hope the idea goes away and finds someone else to land on.

Your idea has just pointed right at you and said "It's you!" Why would you not want to take the prize?

I've got news for you! It could be worth a fortune. You can do it. It doesn't take loads of money. You don't need to be ripped off. Every day, all over the world people just like you take the bull by the horns, they get involved in their idea, they turn it into an invention, and into a product, and they get incredibly rich. It happens every day. And it could happen to you.

Chances are, the biggest thing standing between you and your fortune is not money, not time pressures, not the risk of being ripped-off , nor even the thought of the problems of success. Chances are, the biggest problem you have is: you don't yet know how.

The Inventor's and Innovator's Kick-start Guide is a simple, step-by-step introduction to exactly what you have to do, when you have to do it, and how little it need cost you, as you guide your idea from "Aha!" to "Ker-ching!"

From the Inside Flap
After that first thrill, that first quiver of realisation - what then? How do you turn a single idea into a real product, making real money for you? Where do you start? What traps are lying in wait for you?

Whether you're a lone inventor wanting to get rich from your invention, or whether you want to turbo-charge your business as only a great idea can, you need to understand the process ofinvention and innovation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Business Considerations Revealed, 27 April 2005
When you have an idea for an invention that excites you it is easy to be tempted to 'tell the whole world'. This book explains very clearly why that is not a good thing to do.

In straight forward, easy to read and understand language, this book explains how to take your idea from conception to production and makes you aware of the many areas (and possible pitfalls) that you need to know about.

It gives you a clear guide on the steps you must take - I particularly liked the way the author, after explaining what you should do and the reasons, then sets you an action point to apply to your own idea and invention.

Following these steps gives you the confidence to take your invention to the commercial world knowing that you are well armed to answer the questions you are likely to face from any business people you approach.

The whole subject of inventions and the commercialisation of your idea is a vast one that cannot be covered in a single book. And, here again, the author has come up trumps. He's provided a good basic foundation to what you need to know and then points you in the right direction to find more detailed information and help where it is needed, whilst making it very clear that you should still be careful about exposing your idea too soon.

If you have an idea and you want to get rich from it - then you MUST read this book, both to protect your idea and to get it into the commercial world with the best possible chance of success.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inventor's & Innovator's, 11 Mar 2006
By keith (London) - See all my reviews
Informative, entertaining and easy to read. Points you in the right direction and could help you avoid costly mistakes! Good advice on how to avoid making a simple mistake that could cost you your right to a patent!

Also, good references to other useful sources of exclusive information like "the ideas factory" & "the commercialometer." Very highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for inventors and those who don't, 3 Jul 2005
By E. D. Rivis (Malton, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I was lucky enough to meet the author at a high level business seminar I attended last year - at which he was a Special Guest speaker.

I don't consider myself an inventor, but I was so impressed by his 'passion for invention' that I couldn't resist getting hold of a copy of his book when I heard it had been published.

I've read it. And dammit! Now I want to invent something. Anything!

Even if you don't consider yourself 'An Inventor', as a business-person you'll still find great value and advice in this fabulous gem of a book.

In particular I recommend reading and applying what Jules has to say about the fabulous Commercialometer methodology. I did, and it's certainly helped me think about my business in a totally different way.

This is an excellent, fast paced and easy to read book and I unreservedly recommend it to anyone -- be they an inventor, a business person, or a combination of both.
