OVERVIEW
When Aaron first saw the strange blue lights on the night of July 4th, he thought it was fireworks.

He watched one light fall into the woods, and the next day he went over to investigate. That day was very nearly his last!

Aaron's close encounter with an alien being was all the more terrifying, because he didn't know what it was; it could change shape!

Had other aliens landed? Where were they?

Aaron, and now his friends, are in terrible danger--all the more, because no one would believe them!

If you enjoyed the movie, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, you'll love Invasion of the Blue Lights.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has anyone else read this? 19 Jan 2000

I read this back in the 4th grade. I found it to be a creepy, orginal scifi thriller. The alien in this book is very chilling, and i enjoy the relationship between the three heros, which begins with two of them bullying the third and ends with them banding together to save each other's lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Invasion of the Blue Lights 25 Jan 2012

It was about 20 years ago in my grade school classroom when Ruth Glick first captured my imagination with her blend of science fiction, action and adventure. Invasion of the Blue Lights left a lasting impression, so much so that my film production company has optioned the literary rights to adapt the book into a film. We just completed the screenplay and are currently working on conceptual art for the creatures, their technology and the world they come from. I'm excited and humbled by the opportunity to breath a new life into the wonderful characters and story Ruth established for us in 1982.

I read this book as an elementary student. I guess it impressed me since I still remember it. This book was a great example of sci-fi for kids. I really enjoyed it! I am purchasing it now for my own classroom collection and for my daughter.

I read this in third grade and it has stuck with me all these years. I'm getting a used copy of it to see what it was about the book that affected me so much.

This is the first book I ever read as a child that I couldn't put down. I had to see it one more time. I stayed up late last night to read it all over again. Great kids book.
