Do you like your books with lots of blood, gore and lots of graphic sex?? This is not the book for you. Invader on my back takes you back to a much simpler time in science fiction-when the hero was always pure of heart but quick with his guns.
This is a very short book. It tells of a time when the human race has split into constantly fighting sub groups-the Norms, Delinks, Scutlers and Police. The only thing they agree on is that they all hate the Stinkers. The simple tale tells of a lonely Stinker who meets a Lady Stinker falls in love, developes telapathic powers and in the end wins the day. The Love is true, the badies bad [...] and the science really silly. Very english, very 60s. And for some reason still well worth a tenner. If you have never read mr High then give this book a chance-though perhapes a better starting point would be the excellent Come Hunt an Earthman.

This is simply wonderful science fiction. Philip E. High is able to pack more ideas, concepts, and action into 150 pages than modern authors work into the first 500-pager of their "soon to be epic series".
