Restore prone to failing. Can't enter dividend income without crashing. Help pages don't match screen functionality. Appalling user interface. I've just backed this off my PC and gone back to Quicken 2002. Seriously, have a rake around Google, there are many many complaints and problems with this. Intuit have to be kidding. They've just about completely wrecked what used to be the best program around. Am going to try and get my money back and then try Money 2004 (which pains me, it really does).

I have never used Quicken before. Once you get the hang of it, it is quite straight forward. The 2004 XG version is compatible withfiles created on a previous version by my colleague. Overall, I am pleased with it.

I have used Quicken, in all its various releases, from March 1993 up to the present day, and was extremely perturbed to receive a letter from Intuit that they are withdrawing from selling Quicken in the UK after 31 January 2005! Support for Quicken will also cease on 31 January 2006! This a very retrograde step by Intuit; I have investigated Microsoft Money which is different, being better at some things, but worse in others. Perhaps we should all back Bill Gates, and Microsoft, a little more. I wonder if Amazon will see a large increase in sales of Money? Companies like Intuit don't deserve us buying their products.
