Had to exchange as not able to upgrade from my previous version. Take care when upgrading as this is not compatible with other versions.

I purchased this software over a month ago. I have found it really disappointing. I have used this software before and I really like that it's easy to use, however I have loads of error messages popping up and every time I try to reconcile a bank account the software completely freezes up and I have to use task manager to close it down. I have tried using the help site to rectify the issues too. I have a fair amount of computer experience so I know that after I load the software using the wizard this should be as simple as using the software immediately without any issues. I wouldn't recommend it.

I upgraded from a previous version and did it to the Limited Trial version first off to see if my data was OK. It imported the data no problems and had better customisation of invoices, but couldn't email them. I presumed this was because it was the trial version so I bought Simple Start, deleted the Trial version and installed it OK.
Got the same error message and rang up technical support. SOME versions of Outlook (not the most recent it doestn't seem) SOME versions of Outlook Express and SOME versions of Windows Mail are compatible, but not Windows Live Mail which is the most current free Microsoft Version and was out a year before this was released. Also in Simple Start you can't print to PDF (and then attach manually) so it was suggested by support that I upgrate to the Pro Version. I declined.
I've made a workaround by installing a free Bullzip PDF printer. Quickbooks installs a virtual PDF printer but then won't let you use it. Frustrating. And technical support's default seems to be to get you to upgrade even though all the functionality was available in the version I had 3 or 4 years ago.

Very disappointed
I used Quickbooks a few years ago and it was great, allowing you to do many of the things that you can only do in the more expensive Pro version now. Read more

No good if you use Flat Rate VAT
It turns out this product does not support Flat Rate VAT. This is a major drawback and necessitates a manual workaroud, which somewhat defeats the purpose of buying this product. Read more
