Product Description

Review

This is a cutting-edge update of a comprehensive and highly successful textbook. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone who wants to get to grips with structural equasion modeling in AMOS.
K. V. Petrides
London Psychometric Laboratory, University College London

The most accessible book on structural equation modeling just became even more accessible. Using realistic datasets and generous insight, this text effectively covers both theoretical understanding and, importantly, successful application of SEM. Blunch is the must-have resource for researchers, advanced undergraduates and graduate students.
Julie Davies
School of Psychology, Bangor University

Has got some good parts, and did clarify things, but at some point it suddenly get very complicated, without explaining the jump gradually. It looks as if the first part had been written to the beginner (e.g. me) and the second half for the advanced user looking to refine his skills. Would be a good book from basic to advanced level with a couple of chapters added explaining some concepts in more details or giving more examples. Finally another book helped me clarify things (Barbara M. Byrne).

SEM for non-statisticians. This is a great introductory book written, mostly, in plain English. It answered several of the questions I'd had from my previous attempts at learning SEM, explained concepts I'd never really understood before, and walked you through the process complete with screenshots and press-this-button-next type instructions. It is an introductory book, so you may need to move onto something more advanced once you start getting into the nitty gritty of dealing with real, problematic, data, but you'll be much better equipped to do so. Recommended.
