There was a booger stuck between two pages in chapter one, but other than that the book was adequately satisfactory.

This book gives you a step by step look at how to use Solid Works, complete with pictures and accurate descriptions. You don't even really need a professor to help teach you with this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than most... 13 Sep 2012
By Roy Chapman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Solidworks is a good product that is let down by several faults; there are multiple versions, which are released on an undetermined schedule in fairly rapid order. As a result quite a bit of the printed media might not pertain to the version that you are using. A lot of the existing material out there was written by academics with little practical experience, i.e. I do not produce "widgets", I draw steel connections, gears, etc. ...the real world! "Introduction to Solid Modeling" at least has real world tutorials of a product that one make actually need to draw, a significant improvement. Additionally, there are no assumption's that you already know how to do that, every step is concisely detailed. Worth the purchase price.
