4.0 out of 5 stars Best available introduction to the subject. 13 April 1999
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
An excellent, thorough, straightforward introduction to radar technology. A little dated, however. Written on the level of an introductory graduate text. Essential for professionals new to the field and useful as a refresher for veteran radar engineers. Outclasses the competition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reference for all radar engineers 13 Mar 2002
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
Used previous editions from the company and have now finally decided to buy my own to annotate it. Skolnik is often the first port of call for radar engineering and with a large amount of references can lead to more detailed or specialised papers of interest.

4.0 out of 5 stars THE reference start point for your radar library 26 July 2007
By reader
Format:Hardcover
This is NOT a book to teach you how to choose or use your radar for your weekend fishing boat. It IS the book to refer to when you are designing a radar system, or part of a system. It's very mathmatical, because this is a mathmatical subject. It is also VERY useful for microwave signalling engineers, i.e. Satellites, in terms of signal propagation, antenna design, etc. A Classic, if just a little dated now (hence 4 stars). Aimed at undergraduate level, my well-battered copy still sits on my bookshelf at work, and is referred to often.
