HONG KONG LEGENDS RULE,
By PSN: Funeral-Bringer (Middlesbrough) - See all my reviews
This review is from: An Introduction to Hong Kong Legends (Includes Jet Li's Hitman) [DVD] (DVD)
I didn't really expect much. It seemed pretty cliche if you ask me. But I watched it and boy was I surprised. It was dubbed, and the dubbing is always bad. But the story was quite interesting and was carried out well throughout the film.
In the opening scene a mafia boss is killed by a hitman, along with a group of his bodyguards. His family puts a bounty on the hitman's head and they call upon the assassins of Hong Kong to find the hitman and kill him. Jet Li's character, Fu is a rookie hitman who is low on money. He's thrown out by his roommates for not paying the rent and is wandering the streets when he hears of the 100 million dollar award for the one who finds the killer of the mafia boss. He also finds a new friend, who finds a few hits for him. However it seems the Fu isn't really a great hitman because he is sensitive. They end up getting in trouble, because everyone thinks the Fu's friend is the one who killed the mafia boss, and they have to run from some of Eiji's (the bad guy in the film) assassins. The end is pretty predictable but all in all its a good film. Entertaining and much better than most Hollywood action films. Thank you for reading my review.

Hitman...not bad,
This review is from: An Introduction to Hong Kong Legends (Includes Jet Li's Hitman) [DVD] (DVD)
This is a great piece of work! Eric plays his role in the film excellently. Jet Li also lives up to his expectations with this film not using wire work either! This has a very different story line compared to other films. Jet Li playing a soft hearted assassin...excellent for more information on the film just read the highlights bellow.
