5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Beginner Manual 10 May 2012

For what it is, "An Introduction to Chord Theory" is highly invaluable to a beginning guitarist. It easily guides you through chord construction, starting with simple notes and intervals and transitioning to chord structures and their functions in music. However, as the title implies, the book is entirely about theory. I would recommend supplementing this book with songbooks and other instructional materials that deal with practical aspects of music. Nonetheless, it removed a lot of the mystery for me. I highly recommend this book.
