Having known Dick Collinson I'm not surprised that he has produced such a definitive work. The only gripe I might have is unfair, since I started my working life as an RAF apprentice instrument maker in January 1948, it is that I would have liked the subject to be put in the historic context of early post Wright Bros aviation, including the coiled spring vane mounted on the strut with red and green sectors to indicate airspeed!
But well done Dick.
