This was a good training overall. Other than a stack of ACT books that I've been inhaling over the last year, this has been my first actual training experience and I did learn new skills to add to my toolbox. But this exact training could have been so much better, without changing anything about the material itself. The quality of the production was disappointing. It is obvious that this production was not made by professionals. The Apple logo in the bottom corner of the DVD menu leads me to believe this whole video was edited with the basic video editing and DVD burning software that comes on every MAC computer, and even with that, only the most basic functions were utilized. A high school student could have done a better job. In the first disk the editor added subtitles for questions asked by attendees, which I thought was extremely helpful since the audio was compromised. But then that just stops. It was as if they realized after a few questions how long this process was going to take for the entire training and decided to just stop doing it. Also, in the first disk slides were incorporated into the presentation, which also just suddenly stopped. Adding slides not only would have been a helpful teaching tool, but it might have broken up the monotony of staring at the trainers for 14 hours. The lighting was poor and the cameraman frequently played with the filters while shooting, very distracting. The room itself was sparsely decorated (one plastic tree) and the presenters area was littered with papers. If this were my training video, I might have paid more attention to the visual presentation. I was under the impression when I pre-ordered this DVD set, that handouts would be available and I assumed there would be a CD-ROM with PDF files or the Power Point presentation. Again, that could have been my imagination, but for what I paid for this training experience, I would have liked to have something tangible to work with. Perhaps the authors could offer them as downloads for customers who purchased this product. Another suggestion is to create an online test for customers to obtain CEU's. After all this is a lot of hours! Again, this was a good training and I'm glad I watched it. But as an ACT therapist myself, I am concerned about how our work is presented. Originally, I gave it three stars based on the poor production quality, but the truth is, I did enjoy the training and got a lot out of it, so you get four stars.
