Altough the book is OK, it's better to go for Mastering Autocad 2009 from the same writer. That book contains the content of Introducing Autocad 2009 ... plus about 6 times more information about Autocad for only 50% more in money. So, go directly for Mastering Autocad 2009.

The book is very well written and gives enough detail to easily guide you into AutoCad 2009 if you are familiar with any earlier version of AutoCad. If this is your first time in AutoCad, get a simpler book, because Omura assumes you are familiar with AutoCad.
