This is the review for the original 2003 'Horrible Geography' title:-
Intrepid Explorers 'SPECIAL'
and although it is a little more expensive, it is a slightly larger book than the regular series, standing 8.5" high with 207 pages, split over 9 chapters:-
* Introduction
* Intrepid ancient explorers
* Suffering sailors
* Desert discoverers
* Crazy climbers
* Polar pioneers
* River rovers
* Intrepid modern explorers
* Intrepid explorers timeline
written in a variety of fonts and full of black and white illustrations.
Packed full of facts, this book is in an easy-to-read format and winds up with a useful 14-page timeline, split into:-
* Ancient Times
* The Middle Ages
* 15th & 16th Centuries
* 17th & 18th Centuries
* 19th Century and 20th Century
making it really handy for that last minute revision!
